YIWU & CHINA SOURCING
PRODUCT SOURCING / OUTDOOR & TRAVEL
Buy travel accessories for a defined use, not just a catalogue photograph. A daypack, organiser or picnic accessory needs the right dimensions, construction and packing for its customer. Separate everyday convenience from performance claims so the sample review answers the right questions.

EXPLORE THE CATEGORY
Product directions to discuss, with the details that distinguish one quotation from another. These are inquiry options; availability and minimum quantities are confirmed for the proposed version.
01
Everyday bags for commuting, events or short trips. Specify capacity, fabric construction, lining, straps and compartments. Check how the bag carries the intended load and whether the laptop or bottle space fits the advertised size.
02
Reusable totes, packable bags and promotional carryalls. Define finished dimensions, handle drop, fabric weight and the folding method. Review logo visibility in use and when the bag is folded into its pouch.
03
Travel pouches, packing cubes and small compartment cases. List dimensions for each size and approve the complete set. Review zippers, mesh, seams and whether the quoted pack includes a separate storage pouch.
04
Reusable drinkware and non-electrical travel accessories. Specify capacity, body construction, closure and intended hot or cold use. Identify the checks and supporting documents needed for the exact food-contact item and destination.
05
Carry bags, picnic mats and practical non-electrical accessories. Define folded size, working dimensions, materials and cleaning expectations. If a set includes food-contact pieces, review those components separately within the brief.
06
Foldable mats and general leisure blankets. Agree layers, backing, dimensions, edge binding and packed format. Explain whether damp-ground resistance, insulation or other performance is required so the supplier proposal is evaluated accordingly.
07
Luggage tags, straps, document pouches and general travel organisers. Specify fixing methods, dimensions, closures and personalisation area. Check that a decorative accessory can actually be attached and used as intended.
08
A bag or pouch combined with selected practical accessories. Build the quotation from a component list and approve the fully packed kit. Safety-critical equipment, batteries and technical protective products require separate assessment.
SPECIFICATION PLANNER
Use these fields when comparing proposals. Confirm requirements for the actual item instead of filling the gaps with a similar catalogue model.

| Specification | What to define | What to clarify with the supplier |
|---|---|---|
| Use & load | Everyday use conditions, intended contents and carrying expectations. | Define the load and check method instead of relying on an unexplained durability claim. |
| Textile construction | Fabric, lining, coating, webbing, seam construction and hardware. | A fabric description alone does not establish the strength of the finished bag. |
| Capacity & size | Finished dimensions, usable compartments, product weight and folded size. | Compare bags using the same measurement method and test what must fit inside. |
| Closures & fittings | Zippers, buckles, straps, handles and attachment points. | Review repeated operation and loaded use within an agreed inspection scope. |
| Branding & palette | Print or embroidery area, colour reference and decoration method. | Confirm the logo is practical on the fabric, coating and finished seam layout. |
| Performance & packing | Required evidence, retail presentation and carton measurements. | Identify specialist tests and shipping constraints before approving claims or the delivery plan. |
BRANDING & PRESENTATION
01
Use a clear logo area, a practical size and a packing format suited to distribution. Separate existing colours from custom-dyed options. Compare fabric construction and handle reinforcement alongside the decoration cost.
02
Match the outer fabric, hardware and lining across a bag, organiser and pouch. Record quantities by item and colour. The same colour description from several suppliers still needs physical sample approval.
03
State the conditions and result you need, then agree the suitable test and supporting evidence. Terms such as waterproof, thermal or heavy-duty should not substitute for a technical specification.
SAMPLE & PRE-SHIPMENT REVIEW
Use the agreed sample, specification and packing reference together. The final checklist and any specialist work are confirmed for the product and destination.
SCOPE & EVIDENCE
Water-resistant fabric does not make every seam and zipper waterproof. If water protection is important, specify the finished-product performance and relevant conditions. Keep any technical or safety claim outside the standard appearance inspection unless it is expressly included.
Keep observations, corrective actions and the authorised release decision connected to the same product and order reference.
PLAN A BRANDED DAYPACK
Develop a branded daypack around what the recipient needs to carry. Define compartment dimensions, fabric construction, straps and logo position. Compare existing and custom colours with their respective minimum quantities, then approve a decorated sample loaded with the intended contents. Check folded packing and carton quantities, and plan samples, production, inspection and transport around the distribution date.

CATEGORY QUESTIONS
This can be explored with the proposed supplier. An existing construction and colour may avoid some development work, but decoration still needs a confirmed area, artwork, minimum quantity and sample approval. Availability must be checked rather than assumed.
Fabric weight describes one part of the construction. Seams, webbing, hardware, reinforcement and assembly also affect use. Define what the bag must carry and agree a suitable finished-product check before treating two bags as equivalent.
A coordinated brief can cover both. Specify shared colours and material preferences while recording the construction and quantities of each item separately. Review the samples together and check the complete packed collection if it will be sold as one set.
Only use a performance description after the exact construction, intended conditions and supporting evidence have been reviewed. The fabric, seams and closures can behave differently. Ask for a defined test rather than accepting an unsupported catalogue label.
A folding or nesting design may change carton size and unit count. Ask for measurements of the proposed packed sample, not an estimate based on a similar item. Confirm that the folding method does not damage decoration or create unwanted creases.
Our outdoor and travel range focuses on everyday leisure accessories. Climbing, flotation and protective equipment require a separate technical assessment. Share the intended use and performance requirements so we can review the appropriate sourcing scope.
