YIWU & CHINA SOURCING
PRODUCT SOURCING / PET & EVERYDAY ESSENTIALS
Build an everyday range around a clear use case. Pet bowls, grooming accessories and reusable bags need more than an appealing shape: size, materials, attachment points and packing affect whether the item suits the intended customer. Start with the animal, user and conditions of use.
IN THIS BUYING GUIDE
EXPLORE THE CATEGORY
Product directions to discuss, with the details that distinguish one quotation from another. These are inquiry options; availability and minimum quantities are confirmed for the proposed version.
01
Everyday bowls, feeding mats and practical accessories. Specify dimensions, capacity, contact materials and base construction. Review stability and cleaning expectations. Any food-contact requirements must be assessed for the exact proposed item and destination.
02
Non-electrical brushes, combs and general grooming accessories. Define the intended animal, coat-use direction and size. Review edges, tooth or bristle construction, grips and attachments on the physical sample.
03
Selected non-ingestible play items for a defined pet size and use. Record materials, construction, accessible components and durability expectations. Suitability cannot be established from a colourful catalogue image alone.
04
Accessory pouches, storage bags and practical travel organisers. Define the items to be carried, compartment dimensions and closures. Products intended to restrain or protect an animal need separate technical assessment.
05
Mats, simple covers and everyday textile accessories. Agree dimensions, composition, filling if included, seams and cleaning expectations. Review the assembled product and any removable components rather than a fabric swatch alone.
06
Shopping bags, event totes and branded everyday carryalls. Specify fabric construction, dimensions, handle drop and decoration. Count compartments, review seam reinforcement and compare the fully packed format.
07
Pouches, accessory cases and general-purpose storage items. Define intended contents, usable space and fastening method. A clear component and size description prevents a supplier from pricing a visually similar but less useful version.
08
A coordinated group of bags, organisers or selected pet accessories. Keep the intended use and quantities of every component explicit. Feeding products, ingestible items and products making veterinary claims are outside this general accessory brief.
SPECIFICATION PLANNER
Use these fields when comparing proposals. Confirm requirements for the actual item instead of filling the gaps with a similar catalogue model.

| Specification | What to define | What to clarify with the supplier |
|---|---|---|
| Intended user | Species, pet size, human use and the conditions in which the item is used. | The same dimensions and construction may not suit different animals or use cases. |
| Material & assembly | Main body, lining, coatings, attachments, filling and accessible components. | Request a component-level specification and identify parts that can detach or wear. |
| Dimensions & capacity | Finished dimensions, usable volume, weight and tolerances. | State the measurement method and review practical fit with the intended use. |
| Durability expectations | Agreed use checks, attachments, seams and closures. | Avoid blanket indestructible or safety claims; define the relevant review and evidence. |
| Cleaning & presentation | Cleaning instructions, labels, protective pack and barcode. | Approve care wording and any claims before printing rather than relying on a catalogue description. |
| Order configuration | Quantities by size and colour, pack count and carton identification. | Check minimums for each variant and keep mixed orders identifiable through consolidation. |
BRANDING & PRESENTATION
01
Choose a manageable size and colour matrix and distinguish pet accessories from general carry goods. Give each variant a product code. Compare label placement and pack counts so the receiving team can identify the assortment quickly.
02
An existing construction with printing, a label or embroidery may suit a first inquiry. Confirm the artwork area and its relationship to seams and pockets. Approve a decorated sample rather than a digital mockup alone.
03
Use a bill of materials and define whether items are sold together or separately. Check fit, component count and packing. Any replacement needs approval against the intended use, not just a similar colour or price.
SAMPLE & PRE-SHIPMENT REVIEW
Use the agreed sample, specification and packing reference together. The final checklist and any specialist work are confirmed for the product and destination.
SCOPE & EVIDENCE
A visual inspection cannot establish that a product is suitable for every animal or all forms of chewing and play. Define the intended use and any technical testing separately. Ingestible products, veterinary claims and safety-critical restraint equipment require a different scope.
Keep observations, corrective actions and the authorised release decision connected to the same product and order reference.
COORDINATE A PET-ACCESSORY RANGE
Develop a coordinated feeding range with bowls, matching mats and branded retail sleeves. Specify bowl materials, capacity, base dimensions and intended pet size, then define each mat size and surface. Review the complete pairing for stability, finish and packaging fit. Quote each size separately and approve a label map that keeps variants easy to identify through packing, shipment and receiving.
FOR YOUR OWN INQUIRY
CATEGORY QUESTIONS
A mixed inquiry can cover both, but each item needs its own specification, supplier review and quantity. Consolidation can be considered after the order details are known. Combining a shipment does not make different products share the same minimum or technical requirements.
State the animal, size range, intended use, materials, dimensions and any accessible components. Add quantities by size or colour and explain the cleaning or durability expectations. Flag any restraint, safety or health-related claim at the start.
Avoid a blanket claim unless it has suitable evidence for the exact item and use. Materials and construction should be reviewed against a defined pet size and use case. An inspection record is not a guarantee of suitability for every animal.
Include finished width, height, gusset, handle drop, fabric construction, pockets and logo position. Define the intended contents and any load check. Confirm whether quoted measurements describe the finished bag and review the packed sample before approval.
Provide the artwork, placement, language and barcode requirements with the inquiry. Review supplier options, minimum quantities and setup costs separately. Care instructions and any product claims should be approved by the buyer before printing.
Our pet range focuses on non-ingestible everyday accessories. Pet food, treats, supplements and veterinary products require a separate sourcing and technical assessment.
